The operation was carried out under the supervision of Tehsildar Karnah, SHO Karnah, and revenue officials.

According to sources, the action was taken under Section 83 CrPC following directions issued by the Hon’ble Designated NIA Court Kupwara on 16 July 2025.

The seized properties include three kanals and six marlas of land belonging to Abdul Hamid Sheikh, son of Faqeer Sheikh, resident of Dhani Karnah. He is involved in FIR No. 94/2022 under NDPS Act, IA Act, and UAPA. Similarly, 18 marlas of land belonging to Qazi Khushal Pathan, son of Qazi Said ud Din alias Qazi Yaseen, resident of Dhani Karnah, were seized under FIR No. 07/2024.

Additionally, two kanals and nine marlas of land belonging to Manzoor Ahmed Sheikh, son of Wali Mohammad Sheikh, resident of Nawagabra Karnah, were also attached in connection with the same FIR under similar sections.

Officials stated that these actions are part of efforts to curb terror activities by cutting off funding and logistical support networks in Karnah and adjoining areas. Further legal proceedings in these cases are underway.
