KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a preparatory meeting in the district to initiate the process of rolling out Teaching at Right Level (TaRL) here in the meeting hall of Mini-Secretariat.
It was informed that the initiative will be for all primary and middle schools in collaboration with Pratham Foundation, and is being rolled out in all 458 primary and middle schools of Kulgam district.
During the meeting, it was shared that under the initiative the baseline assessment will be done of all students of classes 3-5 using the assessment tools for reading, arithmetic and cognitive skills.
All the teachers will be trained for the TaRL interventions through intensive capacity building programs and will be equipped with tools required.
The students from 3-5 will undergo 100 day intervention to improve their learning outcomes following the TaRL approach.
The preparatory meeting was attended by ADC Vikar Ahmed Giri, ACR Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad, CPO Malik Suheel, CEO Kulgam M Shabir and other Officers from Education, R&B, Social Welfare departments.
Team from Pratham Foundation also gave a detailed presentation on the roll out strategy.
