BJP Leader Former DyCM Kavinder Gupta Appointed as New LG of Ladakh

New Delhi, July 14 (JKNS): The President of India has appointed Bhartiya Janta Party leader and former DyCM of J&K Kavinder Gupta as Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The president also accepted the resignation of Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) from the post of Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

Details available with news agency JKNS stated, Kavinder Gupta, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, has now been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

The President of India has also approved two other key appointments, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana, details stated.

Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, a senior politician and former Union Minister, has been appointed as the Governor of Goa, it stated.

The appointments will take effect from the dates these leaders assume charge of their respective offices, the official order mentioned. (JKNS)
