PM to distribute over 51,000 appointment letters at Rozgar Mela tomorrow

New Delhi: During the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela to be held tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute via video conferencing more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted candidates across various government departments and organisations.

The PM will also address the appointees during the Mela, which is set to take place simultaneously at 47 locations across the country.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) today, over 10 lakh appointment letters have been handed out through the Rozgar Melas conducted nationwide thus far.

The recruitment drive spans several Central Government Ministries and Departments. The appointees, drawn from different parts of the country, will join services in the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others, as per the statement.

The Rozgar Mela initiative forms part of the Government’s ongoing effort to prioritise employment generation. The scheme is intended to provide meaningful job opportunities to the youth, thereby enabling their active participation in nation-building, added the statement.
