Poonch, July 7 (JKNS): A 65-year-old woman died after falling from the roof of her house in the Samote area of Surankote Poonch during the intervening night of July 6 and 7.

Official sources told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Kanchan Devi, wife of Late Som Raj, a resident of Samote, Surankote.

The woman was reportedly walking on the rooftop of her house when she suddenly slipped and fell. She sustained critical injuries in the incident, they said.

She was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Surankote, where doctors declared her brought dead, they said.

Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation started. (JKNS)
