Zubair Ahmed Bhat from downtown Srinagar, a young man described as the sole breadwinner of his family. The circumstances surrounding his death in Delhi, as reported by his family, raise serious concerns and warrant immediate attention.
Congress Leader Er Danish Reshi’s heartfelt appeal to the Honorable Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, for a fair, transparent, and thorough investigation into this matter. The allegations of mistreatment by the Delhi Police, as claimed by Zubair’s family, must be addressed with utmost urgency and impartiality to ensure justice is served.
Kashmiris, like all citizens of India, are peace-loving and deserve equal treatment, respect, and dignity. Incidents such as this risk deepening mistrust and alienation, fueling a sense of “Delhi Say Doori” among the people of Kashmir. To rebuild confidence and uphold the principles of justice, it is imperative that a comprehensive probe be conducted, leaving no stone unturned.
We stand in solidarity with Zubair’s family in their grief and demand that those responsible for any wrongdoing be held accountable. Justice for Zubair Ahmed Bhat is not only a matter of addressing an individual tragedy but also a step toward fostering trust and unity. We urge the authorities to act swiftly and ensure that truth prevails.
