64 Cases Settled in Lok Adalat at Tangdhar Court, Over Rs 8.6 Lakh Awarded

Tangdhar Karnah :
Under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara, a National Lok Adalat was successfully held today at Munsiff Court Tangdhar, Karnah. For this purpose, Bench No. 09 was constituted by the DLSA Kupwara to cater to the cases from the Karnah region.

Bench No. 09 was presided over by Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Mir, Munsiff Tangdhar and Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Tangdhar Karnah, with Mr. Ab Majeed Banday, Secretary, Bar Association Tangdhar Karnah, serving as the bench member.

During the proceedings, a total of 102 cases were taken up for resolution. Out of these, 64 cases were amicably settled, resulting in the award of a total amount of Rs. 8,60,300.

The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to promote alternative dispute resolution and reduce the burden on regular court proceedings, in line with the vision of the Legal Services Authorities Act.
