Cyclothon Rally held in Ghat to raise awareness about hazards of Plastic Pollution

DODA: As part of the pre World Environment Day 2025 (celebrated every year on June 5) activity campaign, the Block Development Office Ghat in collaboration with School Education Department organized a Cyclothon rally to spread awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic.

Students from different schools of Block Ghat took part in the rally with great enthusiasm. They rode bicycles to send a strong message about protecting the environment and using eco-friendly alternatives instead of plastic.

BDO Ravi Kumar said that the rally was a symbolic and meaningful step to make people aware of the need to reduce plastic use. He added that such events are part of their continuous efforts to educate the public about the dangers of plastic pollution and the importance of sustainable living.

The rally also aimed to involve the local community and encourage everyone to play a role in protecting the environment. It helped inspire young people and citizens to become active in bringing positive change.

Through this Cyclothon, Block Ghat proudly joins the global efforts to fight plastic pollution and protect nature for future generations.
