Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, AtharAamir Khan on Tuesday visited Mata KheerBhawaniAsthapanManzgam to oversee the arrangements being put in place for celebration of KheerBhawaniMela.
On the occasion, DC was briefed by the officers from KPDCL, Jal Shakti, Health and other line departments about the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of the celebrations.
DC instructed the concerned officers to synergize efforts to ensure smooth celebration of MelaKheerBhawani and extend all requisite facilities to the devotees.
He directed all the officers to ensure appropriate arrangements are put in place for the smooth conduct of mela.
He also instructed ACD to install solar lights, and KPDCL authorities were instructed to ensure proper power back up.
DC instructed all departments to ensure elaborated arrangements for the smooth conduct of the religious festival with a focus on prioritizing devotee comfort.
Among others, DC was accompanied by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri; Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants for Jammu and Kashmir), DrArvidKarwani; Tehsildar, Dy-SP, BMO and other officers.
