Baramulla: In a step to streamline revenue administration and improve public service delivery, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, on Monday chaired a meeting of revenue officers at the DC Office Complex, here.
A detailed powerpoint presentation was presented during the meeting providing an overview and status of ongoing initiatives. The meeting focused on key revenue matters including the disposal of court cases within stipulated timelines, inheritance attestation of mutations, land acquisition, and the pendency of vigilance cases.
During the meeting, DC directed all Tehsildars to organize weekly revenue camps at the tehsil level to ensure on-spot redressal of public grievances, particularly related to mutation and revenue records.
DC stressed on the officers for early completion of digitization of land records and called for the identification of government land to facilitate future developmental projects.
Furthermore, DC instructed officers to closely monitor the implementation of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, and directed them to resolve pending landless beneficiary cases under the PMAY scheme if any pendency.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, all Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and other concerned revenue officials.
