Srinagar: The Prabodh, Praveen, and Parangat course examinations under the Central Hindi Teaching Scheme were successfully conducted at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar. For the second consecutive year, NIT Srinagar was selected as the examination centre for the Kashmir division.
The three-day exams were held on campus and saw enthusiastic participation from over 50 aspirants, including ministerial staff from NIT Srinagar, the Central University of Kashmir, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), and the Accountant General (AG)’s office. The examinations were smoothly administered under the supervision of Assistant Registrar (S&P, T&P, Member of Rajbhasha Cell), Mohammad Iqbal Dar, who served as the superintendent.
“It was an honour to host the Hindi teaching course exams for the second consecutive year at NIT Srinagar. We are grateful to the Ministry for selecting our institute once again for this responsibility. We are proud to contribute to the promotion and implementation of the Rajbhasha language as part of the Government of India’s linguistic initiatives,” he said. Dar also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia and Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman for their unwavering support and guidance, which ensured the seamless conduct of the examinations.
Hindi Officer Dr. R. P. Shukla (Asst. Prof. CED) said the active participation of ministerial staff in exams reflects the institute’s continued commitment to promoting the use of Hindi in official work. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the staff and encouraged more employees to take advantage of the scheme in the upcoming sessions.
Hindi Anuvadak Dr. Sabzar Gani served as the supervisor and invigilator for the examination process. He was ably assisted by Mr. Naresh Kumar and Mr. Suhail Ahmad, who together ensured the administrative aspects were handled efficiently. “The successful conduct of the Prabodh, Praveen, and Parangat exams at NIT Srinagar reflects the institute’s commitment to supporting national linguistic programs and fostering an inclusive multilingual work culture,” Dr Sabzar said.
Following the written exams, viva-voce sessions were held for all three levels, conducted by a panel of subject experts. The oral assessments were carried out in a professional and structured manner, marking the successful completion of the Hindi proficiency certification process.
The aspirants lauded NIT Srinagar for the smooth arrangements and hospitable environment provided during the examination period.
They said that the Institute has once again proven its capability as a reliable venue for hosting these prestigious exams, having been selected for the second year in a row under the Central Hindi Teaching Scheme.
