Srinagar: Senior Congress leader Er Danish Reshi has extended heartfelt prayers and support for renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, who suffered a major heart attack earlier on Thursday.
In a statement, Er Danish Reshi said the revered jurisprudent and scholar was immediately hospitalized following the cardiac emergency and is now reported to be out of danger, owing to timely medical intervention.
“Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi is widely respected for his significant contributions to Islamic jurisprudence and his consistent advocacy for moderation and peace in society. His sudden health scare has deeply saddened the community, and I join thousands in praying for his swift and complete recovery,” Reshi said.
He further noted that the overwhelming response from the public highlights Mufti Qasmi’s towering stature and influence in religious and academic circles.
