DyCM suspends two, attaches one employee for involvement in illegal mining

Srinagar, June 25 (JKNS): In order to curb the illegal mining issue and taking promt action against the corrupt officials, the Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today suspended two employees while attaching one for involvement in illegal mining.

Taking a stringent action, the DyCM suspended Shakeel Ahmad Sheikh, Mineral Guard and Mohd Maqbool Dar, Drill Helper while attached Mehraj Ud Din Lone, Mineral Supervisor.

As per the official, “Pending enquiry into the complaints against Shakeel Ahmad Sheikh, Mineral Guard, presently posted in District Mineral Office Ganderbal, and Mohd Maqbool Dar, Drill Helper, presently posted in District Mineral Office Pulwama, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect. During the period of suspension, the officials shall remain attached in office of Senior Drilling Engineer Kashmir.

Similarly, Mehraj Ud Din Lone, Mineral Supervisor, presently posted in District Mineral Office Srinagar is hereby attached in the office of Joint Director Kashmir with immediate effect till further orders.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that any official involved in corrupt practices will not be spared and strict action will be initiated against him/her under the rules. (JKNS)
