DC Srinagar reviews implementation of Dharti Aaba Abhiyan

DC finalizes action plan for IEC campaign to ensure 100% saturation of Govt schemes in tribal villages

Srinagar: In order to review the implementation of Dharti Aaba Abhiyan in tribal villages of the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Tuesday chaired a meeting at the meeting hall of the DC Office Complex.
At the outset, DC discussed in detail the action plan for conduct of awareness campaign under Dharti Aabha Abhiyan scheduled from 15 June to 30th June, 2025 in tribal village Faqir Gujri of Srinagar district aimed at saturating all Government schemes and other beneficiary oriented programmes at the grassroots level.
On the occasion, DC asked the line departments to conduct house to house survey based on gap analysis to collect requisite data for successful implementation of Dharti Aaba Abhiyan in tribal villages of the district.
DC passed directions for constituting survey teams who will be visiting the households of the target population and submit reports by May 26, 2025.
During the meeting, DC underscored different dimensions of the centrally sponsored flagship scheme launched to uplift tribal communities and ensure their socio-economic development.
Besides Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aadil Fareed; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; the meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Programme Officer ICDS, Lead District Manager, Officers of Rural Development Department, Education and other concerned Officers.
