DC B’gam inspects progress on construction of New Tehsil Office, B.K. Pora

Budgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Tuesday visited the construction site of the Tehsil Office at B.K. Pora to review the progress of work.
The upcoming two-storey building is being constructed as a permanent, state of the art Tehsil Complex for residents of BK Pora.
At present, 55 percent of the work has been completed and the project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.
The building comprises a Public Facilitation Centre, waiting room for the public, office of the Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and revenue staff of the Tehsil besides meeting room, establishment rooms, revenue record room, etc.
During the visit, DC reviewed the ongoing work and directed the concerned authorities to maintain pace and ensure quality standards.
Speaking on the occasion, DC said that once operational, the new office will provide better access to administrative services and ease the difficulties faced by residents in availing routine services.
DC also said that work is progressing on other revenue offices in the district as well including the Nayabat Nagam, Nayabat Kachwari, Additional NT Complex, Pakherpora, NT Office Soibugh. He highlighted the focus of district administration to complete all infrastructural projects in a timely manner to improve service delivery to the people.
During the visit, DC was accompanied by SDM Chadoora, CPO Budgam, Executive Engineer PHE Chadoora, Executive Engineer R&B Chadoora, Tehsildar B.K. Pora, and other concerned officers.
