Jammu: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Friday visited the forward areas of Poonch and Naushera to review the prevailing security situation and assess operational readiness of the deployed troops.
During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with troops on ground and was briefed about the security environment and recent counter-terror operations in the region. He complimented all ranks for the successful execution of operations and lauded their high morale and dedication.
Lt Gen Sharma also exhorted the personnel to maintain sharp vigilance along the Line of Control, adopt proactive security measures, and continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
The visit comes amid heightened alert in border areas following recent security developments. (JKNS)
