21 Discharged, 6 Stable After Surgeries: Principal GMC Rajouri on Shelling Victims

Rajouri, May 14 (JKNS): Principal GMC Rajouri Dr. A.S. Bhatiya on Wednesday said that several persons injured in the recent Pakistan shelling were admitted to the hospital and were discharged after recovery.

Dr A.S. Bhatiya while addressing reporters qlong with Medical Superintendent Dr Shamim Ahmed as per news agency JKNS that 27 injured persons were brought to GMC Rajouri following the shelling incident. “Out of them, 21 have been discharged after treatment, while six others who underwent surgeries are also stable and recovering well. They will be discharged soon,” Dr. Bhatiya said.

He added that the hospital staff responded promptly and provided necessary care to all the injured. “Our surgical teams managed the cases efficiently, and all patients are out of danger,” he said.

Dr. Bhatiya assured that GMC Rajouri remains prepared to handle such emergencies and is committed to offering the best possible care to victims.

The injured had been evacuated from shelling-hit areas near the Line of Control in Rajouri district. (JKNS)
