Poonch, May 6 (JKNS): A daily wager working with the Jal Shakti Department died after he slipped and fell from a hill while repairing a water pipeline in the Mandi area of Poonch district on Tuesday.
An official told news agency JKNS that the incident took place around 11:00 AM when the worker, identified as Mohd Bashir (52), son of Ali Mohd and a resident of Bandi Kama Khan, was working on a pipeline at Khariyan Saiklu.
“He lost balance and slipped from the hill, sustaining serious injuries to his head and other parts of the body,” the official said.
Police, along with locals, rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub District Hospital Mandi, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident further investigation started. (JKNS)
