Karnah kupwara, July 6: A tragic road accident occurred this afternoon 1 km from Neelam towards Sadhna Top on the Sadhna-Chowkibal road, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to five others.
According to reports, the vehicle bearing registration number JK09B 2619 crossed Chowkibal at around 3:30 PM, and the accident took place at approximately 4:00 PM. Two males, two females, and two children were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the mishap.
Tragically, Master Mushkoor Ahmad Mir, a resident of Khawarpara, lost his life on the spot, while the remaining passengers sustained injuries.
The Indian Army reached the spot immediately and took swift action, providing first aid to the injured. All injured persons were subsequently shifted to SDH Tangdar for further treatment.
Local authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
