This is the third meeting of the Prime Minister with the Defence Minister, since the dastardly terror attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, that claimed 26 lives.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister was given detailed information about the current security situation and the preparations of the forces.

This high-level meeting, held ahead of the Union Cabinet’s security meeting on Wednesday, is being considered as highly significant.

Earlier, Union Home Secretary also held discussions in a high-level meeting with the Border Security Force, Assam Rifles and other security agencies.
