“And the country is succeeding in that. We have now started exporting defense materials produced in the country and we have increased this export from Rs 600 crore to Rs 2400 crore.

“Our policy is to manufacture more than 500 products required in the defense sector in the country. There is a plan to reduce imports and increase defense products to Rs 3 lakh crore”, he said, speaking at a seminar organised by the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) on the topic ‘Marathwada: Self-reliant India’.

In order to accommodate the entrepreneurs of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a delegation of entrepreneurs led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should come to Delhi for further discussions, said Rajnath.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is now becoming the industrial magnet of Maharashtra. 10 thousand acres acquired for industrial estate have been distributed to industries and there is still demand from entrepreneurs.
