DC Kulgam felicitates 11 BDOs for achieving TB-Free Status

Kulgam: District Administration Kulgam on Saturday organized a felicitation ceremony to honor panchayats for achieving TB-free status under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan presided over the felicitation ceremony at the District Headquarters to honor the BDOs and health workers for achieving TB-free status under NTEP.
The event saw the presence of Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Nazia Hassan; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Showkat Parray; DTO, Dr Umer Yaseen; all Block Development Officers (BDOs), and other NTEP staff.
The recognized panchayats were awarded certificates and mementos for their efforts in the ‘TB Mukt Panchayat’ initiative.
Out of 178 Gram Panchayats in Kulgam, 167 claimed TB-free status, which was verified and confirmed by the district’s verification team.
The DC praised the dedication of health officials, panchayat members and the community in this achievement.
The event highlighted the administration’s commitment to public health and the importance of continued efforts to prevent TB, ensuring that all panchayats in Kulgam can work towards being recognised as TB-free Panchayats.
