DC Jammu Finds Staff Absent During Surprise School Visit, CEO Orders Withholding of Salaries

Jammu: A surprise inspection conducted by the Deputy Commissioner Jammu at Government High School Pakhian on Saturday revealed that 12 staff members were absent without authorization.

In a Communique by Chief Education Officer Jammu a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS addressed to Headmaster of concerned High School, issued an explanation notice to the Headmaster of the school, directing them to respond within two days. Failing to do so will result in strict disciplinary action as per rules.

The absent staff members include Masters Vandana Sharma, Nirmal Kumari, and Bindu Sharma, along with teachers Sushma Rani, Meenakshi, Rajat Sharma, Pooja Jamwal, Renu Gupta, Atul Sharma, Sanjogita Kumari, Laxmi Chib, and Pooja Chibber. The CEO has ordered that the salaries of all the absent staff, including the Headmaster, be withheld until further orders.

The action comes as part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to enforce accountability and ensure regular attendance in government schools across the district. (JKNS)
