On April 13, two events will be held simultaneously at Vigyan Bhawan – Film Forensics Symposium and Forensic Hackathon.

JM Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU, emphasised the need to bridge the silver screen with forensic science to optimise criminal investigations and justice using the power of cinema through the World’s First “Film Forensics Symposium”.

The Hackathon will bring together experts in forensic sciences, cybersecurity, and related domains, while the Film Forensics symposium will showcase forensic research and crime investigation through compelling, scientifically accurate stories.

The summit will host over 1,600 experts, including judges, law enforcement officials, researchers, students, and industry specialists.

Vyas further said that the three-day events aim to revolutionise the criminal justice delivery ecosystem, bringing together multi-stakeholder perspectives to tackle challenges and explore forensic science and judicial systems breakthroughs.

Through dynamic panel discussions and technical sessions, the event will spotlight the vital role of scientific evidence in boosting conviction rates and fortifying legal frameworks, paving the way for a more efficient and equitable justice system. UNI
