Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Friday addressed concerns regarding his recent administrative decisions, asserting that all actions have been conducted within the framework of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.

This statement as per JKNS comes in response to criticism from the National Conference (NC) party, particularly concerning the transfer of 48 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers.

The transfers, which included 14 additional deputy commissioners and 26 sub-divisional magistrates, were ordered while Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other NC members were away for Eid holidays.

The NC contends that these moves undermine the democratic process and has called for a review of the decision.

In response, LG Sinha emphasized his commitment to operating within legal boundaries and stated that his office will fully support any government actions that align with the expectations of the people. (JKNS)
