Srinagar: Janata Dal United (JDU) President G.M. Shaheen has strongly criticized the Opposition for opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, accusing them of misleading the Muslim community for political gains.

Shaheen as per news avencu JKNS alleged that Opposition parties are either trying to appease their vote bank or fear losing land acquired through Waqf. “The government is bringing transparency to the Waqf system. What is wrong with that? We are not just supporting this Bill; we want full transparency,” he said, emphasizing that the amendments will ultimately benefit the Muslim community.
