Police Solves Missing Girl Case Within 12 Hours in Shopian

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a case of missing girl within 12 hours, in Shopian by recovering a girl and her abductor.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police Post Keegam received a missing compliant from Shabir Ahmad Rather, a resident of Haji Check, where in the complainant had said that his 15-year-old daughter (name withheld), went missing since Tuesday 11.00 AM. Stating that while acting on the complaint the officials launched a search operation and during investigation recieved credible input about the girl’s presence in Yaripora, Kulgam, Police in its statement further said that a police team was deputed to the location and following a meticulous search, the missing girl was recovered from Yaripora, Kulgam, with 16-year-old boy (name withheld), resident of Tarigam, Kulgam. Police in its statement further said that a case FIR No. 60/2025 under Section 137(2) was registered besides initiating further investigation, reiterating therein its commitment to ensure safety and security of its citizens.
