DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Shab-e-Qadr, Jamat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr

Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, on Tuesday chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC office to finalize the arrangements for the Shab-e-Qadr, Jamat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in the district.
The DC issued directions for uninterrupted power supply and instructed concerned officers to ensure proper sanitation in the town. The functioning of streetlights was also reviewed, with directions to address any faults promptly.
Stressing the importance of an uninterrupted water supply, the DC asked the PHE department to take necessary measures to ensure smooth distribution. He also took stock of the distribution of ration in rural areas and emphasized timely delivery.
To maintain law and order during the celebrations, security arrangements, crowd management, and traffic regulations were thoroughly discussed. The deployment of magistrates at key locations was also reviewed to ensure smooth conduct of the events.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to make adequate parking arrangements to avoid congestion. Market checking teams were instructed to keep a strict vigil on the quality and pricing of essential commodities, including mutton, chicken, cheese, fruits, and vegetables, to prevent overcharging and ensure food safety.
Additionally, the Executive Officer Municipal Council was directed to ensure the scientific disposal of waste to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
The meeting was attended by ADC Rajiv Khajuria; ACR Mohd Jahangir Khan; Additional SP Bikram Kumar; Ex En PDD Abdul Rasheed; AD FCS&CA Rohit; EO Municipal Council Yousaf ul Umar; Administrator Auqaf Qayoom Mir; CMO Dr Manohar Rana; Beoparmandal President Rajesh Gupta, and other district and sectoral officers.
