DC Poonch conducts on-site inspection of development projects in Ajote, Degwar and Kausalia Villages

POONCH: In a proactive effort to monitor and expedite essential development projects, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, conducted a comprehensive visit to the villages of Ajote, Degwar, and Kausalia today. The inspection focused on various under-construction works aimed at enhancing community facilities and infrastructure.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner meticulously reviewed the Water Supply Scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He assessed crucial components such as the pump room, Ground Water Recharge System (GRS) and bore wells in the village of Agote Sola. DC stressed the importance of completing the work at the earliest and ensuring a reliable water supply for the residents.
Continuing his on-site evaluations, the DC inspected progress on construction of Mini Super Bazar in Agote. He directed the Executive Engineer REW to expedite the construction work to provide essential services to the locals.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the development of additional classroom buildings at the Government Middle School Ajote under the SAMAGRA initiative, stressing the need for improved educational infrastructure.
The DC also examined the construction of a community bunker in Panchayat Kausalian, reiterating the urgency to accelerate the ongoing work.
Accompanying the Deputy Commissioner were Chief Planning Officer Mohd. Rafi, Tehsildar Haveli Azhar Majid, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineer PWD, Imtiaz, AEE REW, Mohd. Khalid, AEE Jal Shakti, Shokat, along with concerned JEs.
