Zero FIR Registered against accused in Police Station Awantipora

Srinagar: Police Station Awantipora on Thursday received a written complaint from one person namely Showkat Ahmad Stating therein that he was fraudulently cheated by two persons (name withheld) related to duping by Rs 50 lakh.
In a statement issued from Zonal police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that accordingly, preliminary verification (PV) was initiated and during conduct of PV, it substantiated that the allegations leveled by the applicant are based on facts and the cognizance has been taken by registering Zero FIR under section 318(4) in view of being the alleged persons hailing from the jurisdiction of Police Station Lasjan Srinagar and the FIR has been forwarded to the concerned Police Station for further necessary action.
