Srinagar: A youth was killed while his brother was injured in a road accident in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.
An official told news agency JKNS that an accident took place at Anzwalla Anantnag between scooty and Auto as they collided with each other resulting onspot death of the scooty rider.
He has been identified as Owais Reyaz Khan son of Reyaz Ahmad resident of Shirpora Anantnag.
His brother who was a pillion rider identified as usman Reyaz Khan received injuries and was shifted to GMC Anantnag from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura Srinagar in critical condition, he said.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.—(JKNS)
