DC B’la reviews Ramzan arrangements; stresses seamless public services

Baramulla : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, on Tuesday chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the holy month of Ramzan, ensuring all necessary facilities for the public.
He directed concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, particularly during Sehri and Iftar hours. He also emphasized strict market regulation to curb hoarding and overpricing of essential commodities.
Reviewing sanitation measures, DC instructed municipal authorities to maintain cleanliness around mosques and marketplaces. He further directed the concerned departments to install and repair streetlights in key areas to facilitate safe movement of people, especially during early morning and late evening hours.
Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Additional Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Syed Yasir Qadri, Additional Superintendent of Police Sopore, Mir Murtaza, SDMs of Uri, Gulmarg, Pattan besides other concerned officers were attended the meeting.
