Tangdhar: A special Lok Adalat on electricity bills and traffic challans was organized today by the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Tangdhar under the direction of the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara.
For this purpose, Bench No. 5 was constituted in Tangdhar, presided over by Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee and Munsiff Tangdhar, Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Mir. Advocate Qazi Mehboob Allahi, President of the Bar Association Tangdhar, was also a member of the bench.
During the Lok Adalat, a total of 108 cases were taken up, out of which 57 cases were amicably settled. Officials from the Power Development Department (PDD) were present to address public grievances related to electricity issues, ensuring swift redressal.
The initiative provided a significant relief to the people of Tangdhar by facilitating dispute resolution in a timely and efficient manner.
