Satish Sharma inaugurates free medical camp at JKRTC office

JAMMU: Minister for FCS&CA, Transport Youth Services and Sports, Information Technology, Science and Technology, ARI & Trainings, Satish Sharma, today inaugurated a free medical camp at JKRTC office.

The camp was organised by SIBA in collaboration with JKRTC to promote health awareness and well being among the transport workers. Various private hospitals and clinics rendered their services to the participants. These institutions included Amandeep Hospital, Sharp Sight, Shine and Glow, Sarvaang Ayugrah, Path Square, Hear Clear and others.

The medical camp was organised with an aim to provide quality medical care and free medicines to the present and retired employees of JKRTC and their family members.

A team of expert doctors and paramedical staff provided healthcare facilities related to eye care, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, dental care, hair and skin care. Free medicines were also distributed among the patients during the camp.

While addressing the gathering, the Minister appreciated the dedication of drivers who, regardless of season or circumstance, work relentlessly for the welfare of society.

He urged the participants to develop a sense of responsibility by adhering to road safety measures, including wearing seat belts and avoiding mobile phone use while driving.

The Minister asserted that monthly health check-up camps would be organised for the drivers so that they can get the facility of routine health checkup at office premises and get free treatment/medicines.

MD JKRTC, Rakesh Kumar Srangal, senior officials, employees, retired employees and other staff members of the Corporation were present on the occasion.
