District Jammu remained overall champion in the 18th UT J&K Wushu championship at Jammu

Jammu: 04 days 18th UT J&K Wushu championship concluded at Indoor Hall Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. Approximately 1200 Wushu players from 19 Districts, 06 Khelo India centres and J& K Police are taking part in the championship. Shri. Satish Sharma Hon’ble Sports Minister UT J&K was the Chief Guest for the 04 days 18th UT Wushu championship. He Lauded Wushu Association of J&K for giving platform to the young budding wushu players and reaching to every nook and corner of the UT J&K for the prominence of this sports.He said Wushu sports is the most decoratd sports in the UT J&K with first Asian Games/World Championships medalist and Lone National Awardee (Dronacharya Awardee) in the entire UT J&K

In his brief speech, He said that sports is the priority for the government and we are determined to make UT J&k a hub centre for sports in the coming years, he said that we have good talent in the entire J&K, needs filip to groom and exhibit best at the international arena., He said that sports is the only medium to engage the youth and channelise their energy towards sports. He advised all the parents to encourage their wards towards sports resuiltant they will be be mentally and physically strong.

Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee) , presented welcome address , he thanked Hon’ble Sports Minister for sparing his valuable time and accepting our request for the closing cermony as chief guest for the 18th UT J&K Wushu championship. he briefed the achievements of Wushu and the support to Wushu sports extended by J&K Sports council.

Bhavneet (General Secretary) Wushu Association of J&K Presented vote of thanks , she thanked Hon’ble Sports Minister for sparing his valuable time to be the chief guest on the validicitory function of the championship, she thanked all the guests, Media and J&K Sports council for supporting wushu sport.
