J&K Assembly to Begin 2nd Session on March 3

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is set to commence its second session on “March 3, 2025,” with Lieutenant Governor’s address marking the beginning of proceedings.

As per the official schedule issued by Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, a copy which lies with the news agency JKNS discussions on the Motion of Thanks will take place from March 4 to March 7, followed by the presentation of the Annual Financial Statement for 2025-26 and the Supplementary Expenditure Statement for 2024-25 on March 7.

It also states the Assembly will hold a general discussion on the budget on March 8, 10, and 11, while Demands for Grants will be debated from March 12 to March 24. The Appropriation Bills are scheduled for March 25.

“In April, the House will take up Private Members’ Resolutions on April 7 and 9, with Private Members’ Bills scheduled for April 8. Government business will be conducted on April 11. Holidays have been declared on March 14 (Holi), March 21 (Navroz), and April 10 (Mahavir Jayanti),” it states.—(JKNS)
