Omar said he talked about the recent unfortunate incidents in Sopore and Kathua and told the HM that there should be a transparent inquiry. If any mistake has happened, the accused must be strictly taken to task.

Also discussed statehood, the budget session starting from March 3, and many other issues, Omar said.

Earlier yesterday, Peoples Democratic party chief Mehbooba Mufti expressed disappointment on CM Omar Abdullah, woh met the Union HM saying unfortunate he did not raise these critical issues with HM.

“The statehood issue is important, but what matters first is the safety and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. If people are not alive, what is the meaning of statehood?” Mehbooba told reporters as per news agency JKNS on tuesday. (JKNS)
