Bengaluru: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday underscored the deep economic integration of India, stating that Karnataka’s growth as an investment hub is strengthened by the collective resources of the nation.

Speaking at Karnataka’s Global Investors Meet here, Rajnath said India’s economy is not confined to state boundaries but operates as a single, interconnected entity where different regions complement each other’s strengths.

“The economic ecosystem of India is deeply integrated, meaning that investing in Karnataka does not limit businesses to just the state’s resources. Instead, it provides access to the vast and diverse strengths of the entire country,” Singh said.

He elaborated that businesses requiring minerals could source them from Chhattisgarh and Odisha, while industries in need of skilled manpower could rely on professionals from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

He also pointed out that the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector—spread across various states—plays a crucial role in supporting supply chains. UNI
