Srinagar: Awami itihad party on Thursday said that Er. Rasheed, will start a hunger strike, with party leaders supporting his call.
AIP Vice President Advocate GN Shaheen, addressing a press conference in Srinagar, as per news agency JKNS said that as the Parliament session begins, Er. Rasheed Sahab remains incarcerated in Tihar Jail, and his interim bail hearing was scheduled for today.
“We have been informed that Er. Sahab is going on a hunger strike from tomorrow in Tihar Jail. So, here in Jammu and Kashmir, we have also decided to go on a hunger strike to support Er. Rasheed Sahab’s call,” Shaheen said.
JKNS has learnt that the incarcerated Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Engineer Rashid, in a letter to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, informed him of his decision to commence an indefinite hunger strike starting January 31, 2025. (JKNS
