Budgam : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam Akshay Labroo, on Thursday laid the foundation for a state-of-the-art Revenue Court Room at the District Headquarters on Thursday.
The event was attended by Officers of District Administration including ADC, ACR, SE R&B circle Budgam, CPO, Executive Engineer R&B, AEE R&B besides representatives of District Bar Association, Budgam.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC underscored the critical role of revenue courts in addressing land and property disputes effectively besides emphasized the need for adequate infrastructure to facilitate smooth functioning and timely resolution of revenue cases.
The DC stated that litigants and advocates had projected the need to have a dedicated court room for smooth & seamless adjudication of revenue cases at the district HQ in Budgam.
Foundation laying event is a step in realising the objective, he added.
He said that the Court Room is being designed to meet contemporary standards, incorporating modern amenities to provide a comfortable and efficient working environment for litigants, officers & lawyers.
A single storey complex will serve as a hub for revenue related cases/ issues pertaining to District Budgam, he added
The DDC also directed all the stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project.
Representatives from District Bar Association, Budgam stated that establishment of Revenue Court will streamline adjudication and delivery of justice in revenue related matters in district Budgam.
