Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday took pledge for Organ Donation by registering on Ayushman Bharat Organ Donation Registry of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India (notto.abdm.gov.in).
The State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) representatives, Dr Elias Sharma, Nodal Officer, Dr Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director and Sh Irfan Ahmed Lone, Transplant Coordinator, visited Raj Bhawan and handed over the pledge certificate to the Lieutenant Governor.
Sandeep Jain, President and Monika Jain, General Secretary of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, J&K were also present. Earlier, the Lieutenant Governor has expressed his willingness for organ donation during a programme organised by Bharatiya Jain Sansthan, last Sunday on 19th January.

Meanwhile Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tributes to Swr Pangala Kartheek, who laid down his life in the line of duty in Sopore.
“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Army braveheart Swr Pangala Kartheek. His valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The entire nation stands firmly with the family of the martyr in this hour of grief,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
