The criminal defamation was filed against Rahul Gandhi in Pune court. The court had asked Rahul Gandhi to appear in person before the court today in the defamation case. Gandhi’s lawyer, Milind Pawar, said that he filed an application in court today on behalf of Rahul Gandhi in which Adv. Pawar informed the court that Gandhi is the leader of the opposition party and has high security. In such a situation, the presence of the person himself before the court can create problems, said Pawar.

Ge further said that as per the direction of the Supreme Court, the accused can be present before the court through video conferencing, and therefore Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer, Adv. Milind Pawar, filed an application in the court to be allowed to appear before the court through the facility of video conferencing, and the same was approved by the court.

During the process, the first-class judicial magistrate, Amol Shriram Shinde, asked him his name.

Later the bail application was approved by the court, and bail was granted to Rahul Gandhi in the defamation case on a bond of Rupee 25000, said Adv Pawar.
