An official told the news agency JKNS that the man confessed to killing his wife on October 4, 2024. After committing the crime, he buried her body in his cowshed. Two days later, he filed a missing person’s report at the police station.

He said that ten days after the report was filed, Khan reportedly retrieved the body from the debris in his shed with the help of some tools. He then separated the bones and flesh, burned the remains, and buried them underground. He identified him as Imran Ahmad Khan, son of Mouz Ud Din Khan, resident of Aishmuqam.

It was revealed that the deceased woman was his second wife, and he was still living with his first wife. The accused is currently in police custody at Aishmuqam Police Station.

The murder investigation is ongoing, with the SHO of Aishmuqam, along with a magistrate and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, at the scene for further investigation.

More details will follow as the case progresses.—(JKNS)
