Shopian : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, on Thursday visited Dubjan along the Mughal Road to oversee preparations for the Winter Carnival, scheduled to be held on January 11th & 12th.
This event aims to promote tourism, culture, and community engagement in the district.
The Winter Carnival, named “NAGRAI HEEMAL,” is set to feature a variety of activities, including snow crafts, snow igloos, ice sports, competitions for children, and exhibitions of local cuisine and arts.
The district administration is coordinating efforts across various departments to ensure the event’s success.
During his visit, DC emphasized the importance of effective planning and collaboration among departments to provide a memorable experience for participants and to showcase the unique cultural and natural attractions of Shopian.
The district administration invites locals and tourists to participate in the Winter Carnival and experience the diverse activities planned, aiming to make it a significant annual event in Shopian’s cultural calendar.
