Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl on Thursday conducted a comprehensive visit to Bandipora town besides other remote areas to evaluate snow clearance operations and assess the overall post-snowfall situation in the district.
During the visit, the DC assessed the snow clearance operations, reviewed progress, and urged the concerned agencies to accelerate the process.
He said that the district administration is fully prepared to address the challenges brought by the snowfall.
M.A. Qadri reviewed the restoration of essential services, including power supply, water supply and healthcare facilities. On the occasion, he emphasized the importance of swift and efficient restoration to minimize disruptions for residents.
He focused on ensuring uninterrupted electricity, availability of clean drinking water, and the readiness of healthcare centres to handle emergencies.
While assessing the efforts of different departments involved in snow clearance operations, the DC emphasised respective departments to prioritize critical areas and address any bottlenecks promptly.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner paid a visit to District Hospital Bandipora to assess the quality of patient care services.
During his visit, he interacted with the staff and patients to gain firsthand insights into their experiences and concerns.
Medical Superintendent Bandipora briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the range of medical services being provided and the current status of healthcare delivery.
On the occasion, the DC inspected various wards to assess the condition of facilities and took stock of the availability of essential medicines. He emphasized the need for maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring seamless healthcare services, particularly during adverse weather conditions.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by AD FCS&CA Dr. Naseer Ahmad, CMO Dr.Rafi Ahmad Salathi, Executive Engineer R&B/PMGSY Mohammad Hussain, Executive Engineer PHE/I&FC Mutayib Bashir and other concerned.
