Govt allocates districts to ministers for better coordination

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has allocated specific districts to its ministers to ensure better development coordination and efficient public service delivery.

According to the Government Order, a copy of which lies with JKNS, each minister will oversee the administration and implementation of developmental programs in their respective districts.

It reads as: the new district allocations are as follows—Mr. Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister, will oversee Jammu, Poonch, Anantnag, and Shopian. Ms. Sakeena Masood (Itoo), Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, will monitor Doda, Rajouri, Pulwama, and Baramulla.

It reads as: Mr. Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, will focus on Kupwara, Srinagar, Kathua, and Samba.

“Mr. Javid Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Cooperatives, will cover Ganderbal, and Mr. Satish Sharma, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, and Information Technology, will oversee Budgam, Kishtwar, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Kulgam, and Bandipora,” reads the order.—(JKNS)
