In a joint outreach initiative by the District Sainik Board, Kupwara & Indian Army (41 RR) an Ex Servicemen Meet was organised at Jugtiyal. This engagement aimed at assisting the veterans in the challenges faced by them while availing the post retirement service benefits.
The Veterans shared their Grievances on issues ranging from usage of Sparsh portal and application for ECHS cards for their dependents. The Sainik Board Staff explained the Veterans about the implementation of OROP. The Staff also assisted the veterans in submission of life certificates through digital means using their mobile phones, saving their effort in visiting the Sainik Board Office.
The Meet helped the Ex Servicemen in learning the usage of digital tools for managing & tracking their applications through online portals which helps save physical visits to banks and offices.
A total of 80 Veterans & 04 Widows of Veterans attended the meet.
