Poonch – In a commendable effort to enhance educational resources in the region, the Indian Army’s 93 Infantry Brigade has inaugurated a new library at the Government Higher Secondary School in Arai. The inauguration ceremony took place on 19th of october 2024 with the Brigade Commander of the 93 Infantry Brigade gracing the occasion alongside the Commanding Officer of the 25 Rashtriya Rifles.

The event witnessed a significant turnout, including local dignitaries such as Maulvi Mohammad Farid Malik, President of the Peer Panchal Awami Development Front, former Sarpanchs, and several local residents. Their presence underscored the community’s appreciation for the Indian Army’s efforts in promoting education and literacy in the area.

During his address at the inauguration, the Brigade Commander emphasized the vital role that education plays in shaping a prosperous future. He remarked, “Education is the foundation upon which we build our society. This library will serve as a beacon of knowledge for our children, empowering them to reach their full potential.” His words resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting the Army’s commitment not only to national security but also to community development.

The newly established library is expected to be a valuable resource for students at the Government Higher Secondary School, offering a wide array of books and learning materials. The facility aims to foster a love for reading and learning among students, providing them with the tools they need to succeed academically.

Local leaders expressed their gratitude during the ceremony. Maulvi Mohammad Farid Malik stated, “We are thankful to the Indian Army for this generous initiative. The students of the Government Higher Secondary School also expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Indian Army. Many students shared their excitement about having access to a dedicated space for reading and studying. “This library will help us learn more and improve our studies,” said one enthusiastic student.

The inauguration of the library is part of the Indian Army’s broader commitment to supporting educational initiatives in remote areas. By providing essential resources like libraries, the Army aims to empower young minds and foster a culture of learning that extends beyond traditional classroom settings.

In addition to enhancing educational opportunities, this initiative also strengthens the bond between the Indian Army and local communities. It serves as a reminder that education and community development are integral components of national progress.

As the ceremony concluded, there was a palpable sense of optimism among attendees. The establishment of this library marks a significant milestone for Arai and its residents. With continued support from organizations like the Indian Army, there is hope for a brighter future for the children of this region.

In conclusion, the inauguration of the library at Government Higher Secondary School in Arai stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between military and civilian sectors in fostering education and community development.
