Awantipora, Sep 11: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested one drug peddler and three drug consumers from Pampore area.
During naka Checking at Bujbagh Crossing Police party of Police Station Pampore headed by Insp. khalid Fayaz under the supervision of SDPO Pampore arrested 01 drug peddler identified Danish Shafi Dar S/O Mohd Shafi Dar R/o Samboora.
The arrested person was moving in a suspicious circumstances during search 11 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from the possession of the persons.
Case FIR Number 111/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
Besides during patrolling 03 drug consumers where apprehended, they admitted that are regular drug consumers accordingly they were shifted to drug de addiction / rehabilitation centre Srinagar where the test of all the person was conducted and the report revails positive.
The arrested drug consumers have been identified as:
1) Umer Ahmad Sheikh S/O Farooq Ahmad Sheikh R/O Batwara A/P Panthachowk
02) Aqib Ashraf S/O Mohammad Ashraf Dar R/O Frestabal Pampore
03) Manzoor Ahmad Mir S/O Nazir Ahmad Mir R/O Frestabal Pampore.
Accordingly a Case FIR Numbers 112/2024 under relevant section of law stand registered at Police Station Pampore.
