Srinagar, 11 Sep: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced a key change in its lineup for the upcoming elections, nominating Advocate Waqarul Haq Khan as the party’s candidate for the Lolab constituency.

The decision comes after former MLA Abdul Haq Khan stepped down from the candidacy due to health concerns.

A PDP leader confirmed this development and Srinagar based news agency told Kashmir Dot Com “Advocate Waqarul Haq Khan, a prominent lawyer and well-regarded figure in the region, will now represent the PDP party in the constituency.”

This change is seen as a significant move by the PDP as it gears up for the elections, with Waqarul Haq Khan expected to continue the legacy of his father, Abdul Haq Khan, who has served Lolab.

The PDP leadership expressed their appreciation for Abdul Haq Khan’s long-standing service and commitment to the party and the people of Lolab, wishing him a swift recovery.
